It's important for people to know the company they're supporting and the person behind it. Below is a little bit of the MFTL Co. story.

Made For The Lake Co. was created and is run and owned by Jackie Saik. It’s a small business currently run out of a warehouse space in Orillia, On. & is Just a one woman show.

It was started in August of 2018 and became an official online store in October of 2018. The first Classic Hoodie was sold at an Art Market on Go Home Lake that Jackie helped create with another local artist. On October 4th 2018 the online store opened it's online doors.

After working in advertising as a full time graphic designer & illustrator in Toronto for almost 10 years Jackie quit her job and moved to Muskoka. She gave up her apartment, gave away most of her belongings and moved to her cottage to figure out what she could do for a new career chapter. Lake life and the outdoors had always been the centre of her happiness and she wanted a business that would incorporate that into her everyday.

When you support this business you're also supporting 1 to 2 other Canadian owned businesses at the same time. Businesses like an independent screen printer in Hamilton, an embroidery shop in Orillia, or even a Canadian apparel manufacturing business just outside of Toronto. Shopping small & local has a ripple effect on our economy. Money that goes into small businesses goes back out to other small businesses and has a positive effect on our local economies.

MFTL Co. Officially moved into it's own space (aka out of my (Jackie’s) House) in July 2020 into a small space in Port Severn, ON. (This space is not open to the public). And in the spring of 2022 MFTL Co. Moved to a larger warehouse space in Orillia, ON.  (This space is not open to the public)
